Matt Severson

Matt Severson is the CEO & Treasurer of Premier Cooperative based out of Mt. Horeb, WI. Before being named CEO in January 2021, Matt served as the VP-Risk Management and was responsible for the cooperative’s finance and equity management policies, as well as implementing and overseeing risk control strategies across all business units and teams. In this role he also helped lead the cooperative through multiple mergers and acquisitions to ensure a smooth transition in adapting a new partner and their members to Premier’s culture and values.

Matt began his career with Premier in 1999 as a CHS Energy Specialist and held multiple management roles within the company before being named as a VP in 2010. Prior to joining Premier, Matt attended UW Platteville, WI, where he earned his degree in animal science and agribusiness.
