Schedule and Logistics

How will the FCC 2021 schedule work?

FCC 2021 will be held over the course of three days, November 1 -3, 2021, featuring live webinars and breakout discussion groups.

Each webinar will be followed by discussion groups for attendees to continue the conversation with their peers. Each room will have a moderator, but no prepared content. This is a space for attendees to share ideas on how they can apply lessons from the webinar in their own co-ops and communities. These sessions will not be recorded.

Will the webinar sessions be recorded?

Yes! We will be recording webinar sessions and make them available on-demand to registered attendees. Webinar recordings will be posted within 24 hours on the UWCC YouTube page.

When and how can I access the virtual conference?

Registered attendees will be emailed login credentials and instructions (for the virtual platform) about a week before the conference kicks off. The email will be sent to the email address you used to register and is how you will access all of the conference content. You’ll use the same credentials and instructions each day to access the platform for the live conference.

What if I don’t receive my login instructions?

Please contact mawebster@wisc.edu and a member of the UWCC team will help assist you.

Which platform and/or streaming service is being used for the virtual event?

HeySummit is a cloud-based secure streaming conference solution, and the conference features a secure single sign-on requirement. Content and information cannot be lifted from the platform for use elsewhere. You will need to be able to operate and launch the Zoom platform to watch the sessions live. You can do so using the Zoom application or your web browser.

Can I log into sessions before the official start time?

No, you will only be able to log into sessions at the official start time or after.

I’ve missed a session I wanted to see, what can I do?

Recordings for all live sessions will be available within about a week’s time. Just head back to the session’s page to access the recording.

Can I share my login credentials with others?

Just like an in-person conference, registrations cannot be shared. Your registration provides a single sign-on secure experience. All individuals in a group must register for the conference in order to access content.

When will session materials be available?

All session materials will be available on HeySummit after the session ends.

Can I watch the conference from any device?

You can view the conference from any device.

Will I be able to earn continuing legal education units (CLEs) for the conference?

Yes, attendees will be able to earn continuing legal education credits for Minnesota and Wisconsin. We are waiting for official approval of credits. If you have any questions, please contact Megan Webster at mawebster@wisc.edu.
